First things first. Time to define what spiritual protection actually is. Think of it this way: it’s a technique we can use when we want to produce positive results in any type of situation we might have. It is also possible to bless/protect specific people, specific animals, or objects. Â I like to think of it as a, well,’hats off’ nod to something. I’ve been in so many situations and have witnessed the power of such energy countless times. What you refer to as a ‘blessing’ or ‘spiritual protection’ is what I refer to as a ‘shielding’. The reason for this is simple. In my many years of working with people, I found that when one says the word ‘blessing’ or ‘spiritual protection’ people instantly file it away in their mind with a religious connotation. This is not how this works. This little spiritual trick can be used in type of connotation, from calling high energies through protecting your car to protecting a house or calming a violent situation. These are only some options of course; I’m sure you can come up with countless more. Am I right?
Quick disclaimer: well, you know I tell it like I see it so let’s start. By working with Spirit and with energy we can all access the power of vibrational energy and work in tandem to produce results – positive and negative. Yes, I did just write ‘positive’ and ‘negative’. Spirit can do both; humans can do both. Think of it this way: a healer can’t heal without understanding the causes of harm. That means they can do harm – the choice is there. Always remember that you can’t always control the outcome. Spirit always does. You have to be prepared for the results. One of the most important things about this process is to recognize, and to always remember, is that you as an individual, are not the one conducting the shielding in most cases. You are the channel for the shielding. The energy that is coming through you is what conducts the shielding. You guys are working in tandem so always remember to thank Spirit for aiding you. Remember the Law of Attraction (see my post on this law if you want to know more)?  Consider your reasons for conducting a shielding. Also, remember the concept of free will. Thankfully we each have it, and no one can ever take that away from us.
Spiritual Protection Instructions
The first thing you need to do is be aware of the goal you’re concentrating on. What energies you want to send? Who or what do you want to send them to? Once you have this clear, take several deep breaths and ground yourself.- Feel and taste that you are made up of infinite love and strength. Now is a good time to call in the aid of your personal guides and any energies with a high vibration that would like to help out. Some people visualize this step by being surrounded by a bright light. Others simply feel the vibration of the energy building on their physical bodies while the magnetic and electric of their spiritual body strengthen. Feel the joy in this process. Are you still holding your original intention in your mind? Good. That’s the next step!
- Now, slowly focus on your intention and the vibrational energy and mold them together. Visualize yourself sending or if you prefer, transferring, this energy to the other person or situation. Watch your recipients receive this energy and watch them be healed by it. Know in your heart this will bring the outcome that is in everyone’s highest good. Feel free to light a candle, burn incense sage or use essential oils. there is no right way to do this. Find the way that’s most comfortable for you.
When you send this type of energy, try to be as disconnected as you can from negative feelings. You don’t have to be completely void of them, however, if you find yourself with some of these feelings-acknowledge them. Recognize that they are there and thank them for their presence. Let them know that you will not forget them and you will deal with any issues they may want to remind you of. However, they are not allowed to interfere with process nor transfer to the recipient. When you conduct a shielding always remember not to put your own feelings of the matter or the outcome you personally want into it. Trust me, that isn’t helpful. Whether it be a situation that needs to be rectified, someone needs to be protected, you want to sell your house or even just for your daily boost of confidence, you’re asking for Spirits’ help.  So let Spirit work – you just called in the big guns 🙂 Spirit knows what to do.
Quick reminder: shielding  can be used for anything. I remember once when I was starting a graduate program, I was very nervous to go in the first day for orientation. So I called in Spirit and asked for a shield that would protect, yet let helpful energies in. And what can I say, it worked, without a shadow of a doubt! Some of my closest friends today are the ones I met during that same orientation day years ago. I’m truly blessed to have them in my life. So a quick shout out to my awesome friends… you know who you are. Thank you for putting up with me 🙂 On the other hand, I have also used shielding when working to protect individuals in less than ideal situations for example, military operations, those living in haunted houses (not all haunted houses are ‘bad’) or when my family or I travel. These are just some of the situations I’ve used shielding with. There are so many options available to you.
