That is a great question! As a psychic, I thank you for asking this. I truly do. Choosing the right psychic can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be!
Let’s start with the first part of the question. Â A psychic is a person who you turn to when you want to see more clearly into various areas of life. Â By talking with a psychic, you’re giving them permission to look into your life and connect to your energy. Â So, choose a psychic that you trust, but it’s also more than that. Choose someone who you feel you could be friends with on a day-to-day basis. Â It’s important that you feel 100 % comfortable with the psychic!!
Sadly, like in a lot of fields, there are some who try to take advantage of people in this field. Luckily, there 
are some red flags that you can be on the look out for: If a psychic says that you are cursed, and can remove said curse for a substantial sum of money (or any line involving such a sum)- not legit. Be wary of psychics who claim to be accurate all the time. This is highly unlikely because we all have our own free will. Â Free will can change with a thought, an action etc. Â Any legit psychic will be the first to tell you this. For example, if you ask me if you’re going to lose weight, and I say yes, the future changes if you go home and eat a bag of snickers. Â This being said, legit psychics tend to be accurate more often than not. People don’t really need readings very frequently. The end result doesn’t change that quickly. Â If a psychic lets you read with them daily, it is likely they value money more than the reading itself. Â A legit psychic wouldn’t want to waste your time and money by telling you the same thing every day. Â Also, make sure a psychic will always be straightforward with you, and not just tell you what you want to hear.
Lastly, always follow YOUR gut. Â That’s why it’s called ‘a gut feeling’. Â If you don’t feel like the psychic is connecting to you…they’re not. Â A legit psychic will tell you this. Â If they feel they’re not connecting to you, a legit psychic will refer you to another reader they personally trust, and not simply string you along.
It is important for you to know what you wish for the psychic to look at ahead of time. Â I suggest that you write some questions, issues, ideas or anything else down on a piece of paper so you don’t forget during the reading.
Some people ask, “well if you’re psychic, shouldn’t you know already?” No! We are not mind readers, nor have any wish to be.  We read energy, and by asking a question, you’re giving us permission to focus our energy on yours, and the question.  If we knew what was going on with you beforehand, that is a kind of psychic gossip/spying.  Many psychics believe this is unethical.  I personally will not walk up to anyone in a store, and tell them what I psychically see.  It’s none of my business.  On a similar note, please don’t be offended if a psychic doesn’t remember the information they presented to you in a previous reading.  We will remember you, but not necessarily the info we’ve told you before.  This is simply because it’s not our personal information, and we don’t have the right to store it. It’s not because you’re not important to us.  We love our clients…in a non-weird way of course. Â
Try to take a couple of deep breaths and calm yourself before the reading.  It helps us get a clearer picture of the situation, as well as allows you to be more open to the information that you are given.  Don’t try to test the psychic by telling them a false story.  This doesn’t accomplish anything…expect annoying the psychic.  Be open to what the psychic has to say. Remember, we look at your life from a different perspective – Spirit’s perspective, and may see opportunities you aren’t aware of.
