Are you nervous to speak to a psychic? You are absolutely not the only one who feels this way! I’ve had clients who knew the second they heard of me that they want to talk to me. I’ve had clients who were very skeptical, and yet they talk to me. And on the other hand, I’ve had clients who really wanted to talk to me, but were extremely nervous – it took them a while to allow themselves to feel comfortable with talking to me. That is perfectly okay 🙂 Personally, I found when I’m nervous about something it’s best for me to figure out exactly what I’m nervous about. So, I’m going to try to do the same for you. Granted these might not be personal things for you, but they are the six main ‘buts’ I’ve found that influence a person’s decision about meeting with a psychic. The following are listed in no particular order, and this list is not complete.
1. Cost: yes, you did just read that. It might surprise you, but this is one of the main hesitations people have. The cost of a reading can definitely be a source of confusion. There are many different types of readings, many different prices, and many different psychics. Sometimes people think the more money a psychic charges, the better the reading. This is not necessarily correct, the psychics that charge 300+ dollars for an hour reading can charge that amount because they have reached a certain ‘famous’ level within the psychic reader world. The psychics that charge a very small amount are usually newer to this world, and are just starting to build a name for themselves. Psychic readings cost money because the reader is tuning in with their energy to other realms. It can be quite tiring actually. Always remember that cost is not what determines a successful psychic reading. That is totally dependent on your connection with your chosen reader.
2. Privacy: this is a big one! I mean, I completely understand this. I’m probably one of the most private people you’ll ever meet! Think of it this way: look for the psychic that you feel the most comfortable with. Find someone who you’d want to be friends with during day-to-day life. However, always remember this: keeping everything confidential is of utmost importance to a legit psychic. To illustrate this let’s use me as an example. I never ever write down anything about my clients during a reading. If my clients wish to have the reading recorded, I will gladly do this, BUT then I will destroy the copy on my end. In fact, I tend not to remember information from reading to reading. The reason for this is simple: it’s not my information, and therefore I simply don’t have the right to store it. Besides, I definitely have a handful dealing with myself day in and day out. That’s a challenge in and of itself! ha. People are constantly interested in what I do, and I’m always asked if I have any interesting stories. I just smile, nod, say of course and leave it at that. The conversations will always remain between my individual clients and I alone.
3. Accuracy: yes, this one ranks up there as well. First things first. There is a concept known as ‘Free Will’. This basically means that you and only you determine the path you’re on. Psychics read from a particular moment in time; a moment that will pass as soon as the reading is done. We’ll be the first to tell you this. A thought, a gesture, a conversation etc. can change any info given in a reading. Isn’t it great to have free will? It allows us to choose and the power over our lives. With a psychic reading, nothing is written in stone. [bctt tweet=”Remember: As annoying as it might sound, everything happens when it’s in our own highest good.”] That being said, many psychics are very good at their jobs, and can connect to the unseen worlds in ways you wouldn’t believe! Here are a couple of pointers: make sure you go to a psychic who frequently deals with the type of questions you’re interested in asking. For example, a psychic might be well-versed with human matters but finding lost keys might not be a forte. You might have a psychic that loves working with past lives and is not too keen on all matters of business. You, the client, also play a role in the accuracy of the reading. For example, if someone asks me if they’re going to lose weight, and I see that they will, it’s not helpful accuracy-wise if they go home and eat a whole bag of Snickers. This brings me to another matter- timeframes. Timing is one of those main concerns in a reading. Everyone has their own free will. It’s as plain and as simple as that. Remember that psychics read in the present time and space in which the reading is occurring? Good. Basically this means is that timing is really fluid because everyone’s free will influences it. That being said, a good psychic tends to be accurate with the outcome, and usually accurate with a timeframe range (No psychic is ever 100% accurate). The way of getting to the outcome might vary. But that’s part of the fun right?

Bad News and Warnings: no one wants to hear bad news. I don’t want to, and I definitely don’t want to deliver bad news. But I will; it is simply part of our job descriptions. The trick here is knowing how to deliver such news. If I have to pass along such information, I will do it in a compassionate yet straightforward manner. I will not embellish or say things I don’t see just because I feel my clients want to hear them. Any legit psychic is the same. It’s also important to understand how to accept bad news or warnings. One always has to remember that what the psychic is seeing is a different perspective from what you see. Think of it as a kind of ‘heads up’. Remember to breathe, and don’t let your brain jump to the worst case scenario. Feel free to ask the psychic anything about this particular situation (within reason of course). The goal of the psychic is to help and guide you whether it be a good scenario, completely normal and regular scenario, or a not so great one. We are here to help you navigate any situation. So if we have to give you bad news, we will make sure we give you the knowledge of how to cope with it, and turn it around.
5. Judgment: we do not judge you. Point blank. We’re all human. We understand how life can throw curve balls. Believe me, most of us lived on curveball after curveball as we learned to handle the psychic part of our lives. There is no ‘stupid situation’, and there is no need to apologize to us for asking a question. That’s what we’re here for. We’ve pretty much heard everything out there from multiple people from all walks of life. In fact, if you ask us something we haven’t heard, we will be extremely curious about Spirit’s answer to it. It’s always amazing to talk to Spirit about something I never have before. It’s equally amazing to be able to relay the message back to somebody else. It keeps us on our toes and we are grateful for it.
6. Addiction: well, psychic addiction can sometimes become a problem. That’s where your trust in your psychic really comes in handy. Your psychic will let you know if they think you might be becoming addicted. If they tell you you don’t need another reading from them about a particular subject for a certain amount of time, listen to them. Any legit psychic will not want to take your money for discussing the same thing over and over again. If I sense that one of my clients is asking questions for the sake of talking to me (and not for the sake of the questions themselves), I will let the client know that perhaps they should focus on certain other aspects of their lives first and foremost. If something changes in the situation, then sure, let’s talk about it. If you want to ask a different question, that’s fine too.

Well, it’s probably not a secret but I like to think so, so sssh. Psychics tend to each have their own go-to psychic. This person is usually a friend, colleague or mentor. There certain situations we prefer not to read for ourselves (even though most of us can). So when we say we understand where you’re coming from, we really do!! We understand that feeling of disbelief or excitement, or even the ‘what the heck am I supposed to do now’. Maybe most importantly, we know what it’s like to give permission and trust another person with our most intimate knowledge and secrets.
